Scene: The Four Portals on the Star Forge
by archivist
Panoramic wide shot of the Star Forge — a volcanic island surrounded by an infinite dark sea. At the centre, the Rod of Seven Parts glows white-hot on an ancient dwarven anvil. Durrak the dwarf smith stands ready, hammer raised.
Four portals have ripped open around the forge in a circle, each a different colour and energy:
PORTAL ONE (far left): Roaring hellfire — a Pit Fiend’s massive clawed hand reaches through, wreathed in infernal flame, grasping for the Rod.
PORTAL TWO (centre-left): Black and gold — through it, a young woman in infernal armour stands before an infinite descending throne. Nine points of black flame crown her head. Reeny. Behind her, the outline of something impossibly vast. Asmodeus.
PORTAL THREE (centre-right): Sickly green-black necrotic energy — a single enormous eye peers through, surrounded by skeletal hands and whispered secrets. Vecna. The portal hums with death magic.
PORTAL FOUR (far right): Silver-grey mist — the Fugue Plane. A second version of Lyra stands in the mist, translucent, reaching toward the living world. Behind her, a vast skeletal figure in judicial robes — Kelemvor, Lord of the Dead — watching impassively.
The party of Nemesis stands at the centre, between all four portals, weapons drawn, surrounded. The sky above cracks with lightning. This is the moment everything converges.
