Oochio Voir

An Eldritch Lich who served as the major antagonist of the campaign’s second arc. Defeated by Nemesis at the Battle of Fork (session 12, level 10).

Background

• Oochio Voir travelled to the Far Realm and discovered [[Allabar, Opener of the Way]]
• Was corrupted by the Far Realm and Allabar’s influence
• Became obsessed with opening a portal to bring Allabar back to the material plane — with Vecna inside

The Battle of Fork

• Oochio Voir consumed the [[Voidstone]] (the Shadowstone that had been smuggled into Silverton)
• The consumed Voidstone opened a portal in the arena at Fork
• Nemesis defeated Oochio Voir, but the portal was already opening
• Allabar squeezed through the portal from the Far Realm

Aftermath — The Fall of Hightaeria

• Allabar’s emergence was catastrophic — like a baby being born and killing its mother
• Once Allabar broke through, the portal kept growing
• Allabar sank Hightaeria into the ocean, destroying the entire continent
• The [[Eater of Worlds]] (a Couatl in celestial godly form from Mt Celestia) intervened:
  • Swallowed Allabar “like a gecko eating an emu egg”
  • Flew into space and spewed Allabar out
  • Was destroyed in the process — a divine sacrifice
• This stopped the portal from growing and saved Toril from total destruction
• Allabar was expelled into orbit, becoming the Red Moon — Toril’s third moon
• Nemesis recovered the Voidstone from Oochio Voir’s remains

Legacy

• Oochio Voir’s actions set the entire cosmic conflict in motion
• Allabar (now the Red Moon) still orbits Toril with Vecna imprisoned within
• The Voidstone that started everything is now in Nemesis’s possession
• The events at Fork are what brought Allabar to the material plane — the root cause of everything that followed
