• Has used Magic Jar to possess a Fire Giant’s body
• Currently disguised with a Hat of Disguise
• Magic Jar container is a Ring of Mind Shielding (found in Highpoint, in the underground bridge)
• The fire giant’s soul is stored inside the ring
• [[Reaghl]] is holding the ring — so if something happens to Lux, he can return to it because it’s with the party
• Stole the Rod piece from the Fire King’s throne room and teleported away
• The Fire Giants know one of their own has been “stolen and paraded”
• The Fire Giant General has been specifically tasked with finding and beheading Lux

Aasimar Heritage

• Has a celestial guardian angel — has rarely appeared
• First sighting: during flight from Highpoint to the Sword Coast (Hightaeria to Faerun transition)
• Second sighting: at the entrance to the Fire Giants’ Hall (session 33) — appeared in full angel form
• Lux has never seen his parents — they are in Mount Celestia (details unknown — a mystery to explore through the story)
• The guardian showed visages of his mother (left hand) and father (right hand) during session 33
• Message: “If you’re going to die, at least see your parents first”

Session 33 — Guardian Angel Scene

At the entrance to the Fire Giants’ Hall, Lux was about to walk straight in wearing the stolen fire giant body. His guardian appeared — hand on shoulder, full angel form — and warned him it would be suicidal. A good person using a powerful necrotic spell to possess another entity’s body, walking into their lair. The guardian showed Lux’s parents in Mount Celestia. The party decided not to enter through the front door.

After the moment ended, only Lux and [[Alora Amathur]] remembered the event. All other party members’ memories were wiped. [[Kaial]] briefly saw his mother during the vision but later dismissed it as emotions.

Items Found

• Found the [[Grimoire of Shadows]] in the Castle of Azir — a priceless necromancy tome by Jergal. Lyra secretly stole it from him.

DM Notes

• Jay acknowledges the Magic Jar into a Giant was a mistake rules-wise (Giants aren’t humanoids)
• Plans to have the Fire Giant body captured/destroyed to resolve this
• Can protect party members from his own spells (Sculpt Spells feature?)
• Cast Sickening Radiance during the Frost Giant Jarl encounter
• Did ritual Detect Magic in the fire giants’ ritual hall (session 33)
• Was very reluctant to touch the sigils/runes in the ritual hall
