The Ashford Mine

An abandoned silver mine in the Cairnwood hills, west of Thornwick. Sealed twenty years ago after an accident no one talks about. Twelve men went down. Three came back. The mouth is boarded, chained, and marked with the Dawnfather's sunburst in old paint that no one refreshes.

The three survivors still live in town. They are old men now. They drink alone.
